POD International Consulting (People, Organisations, Development) was established to channel over 35 years of professional and academic knowledge, experience and range of expertise of its founder, Dr. Adi Walker, into the provision of short, medium and long-term international development consulting services and products, and into the field of academia.

International Development

POD International Consulting is built on a solid foundation and range of practice, across multiple sectors in numerous cultures, countries and regions of the world. From over 35 years of professional experience, 23 years have been in the international humanitarian and development sector, and an additional 15 years in the corporate sector, with Adi holding a range of senior leadership, technical advisor and consultancy positions.

Leadership and Team Development

Underpinned with a doctoral degree on leadership and professionalism, and broad experience gained in both the corporate and international development sectors, Adi brings expertise to guiding leadership success, from performance planning, management and appraisal to training and development. Versatility, creativity and innovation provide the pillars on which stimulating, fun-filled and learning-orientated team building is delivered.

Research and Development

Analysis, appraisal, assessment: POD offers a robust and diverse range of support services in the field of research and development. From the conceptual design of methods and approaches, to participatory planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, post-ante evaluation and learning, and the institutionalisation of findings in policy and practice, theory and practice are brought together to meet your developmental needs.

Organisational Development

From organisational diagnostics and capacity need assessment, through to multi-tier (institutional, organisation and human) capacity development, POD provides cross sectoral expertise for the improvement of your organisation’s functioning and performance. Structural and non-structural aspects, cultural and political perspectives, and leadership and followership roles, are core dimensions that form the framework of POD’s support.
